Add PowerPoint Content
If you have course content in PowerPoint format, you can use the PowerPoint converter to create web-compatible course materials. Audio files that are embedded in the PowerPoint presentation are automatically detected and linked by the converter.
To add content from PowerPoint:
- From the Manage Content section of the page, click the PowerPoint button to start the process.
- Click Browse to find the PowerPoint file on your computer. Click OK.
- Select Yes/No to include slide notes.
- Select an option for converting your content: 4-step Import or Quick Import.
The 4-step Import lets you add a page name and notes for each slide, specify the course sections and assign slides sections.
Quick Import converts the PowerPoint file and places all of the pages into a single section in your course. You can login later to re-organize the content into section, if necessary.
NOTE: The time required to convert the document to an online course will vary, depending on the size of the original PowerPoint document.
