Add Course Content - Overview

After you setup your web course objective, it's time to add the course content. You have a variety of options here:

  • SCORM content (1.2 or 2004)
  • HTML content
  • PowerPoint Content
  • Or create content using the editor

SCORM content is either purchased from a third party, or created using a SCORM compliant tool, such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Presenter. These tools are easy-to-use, so you can get started quickly. When you have created the course content, you publish the course as a SCORM course. The SCORM option generates a .zip file that you upload to TrainCaster. Find out more.

You can also use a third party editor (Adobe Dreamweaver or BB edit) to create HTML content. You can upload the HTML pages one at a time, or you can put the pages and assets into a .zip file that you upload to TrainCaster. Find out more.

Another easy option is to upload a PowerPoint file. The file is converted to web-compatible format - so you course can be ready to go in a matter of minutes. Find out more.

You also have the flexibility to create course content using the built-in editor. When you use the editor, you can add two types of pages: a regular content page, where you would either type-in the text, or cut and paste the text from another source; or a trainee file submission page, where the trainee is prompted to upload a document.
